Just so you know, iOS 8 installs and runs fine if you're not a dev and downloaded the ipsw. BUT!!! After a restart, your phone will be stuck and tell you your UDID is not associated to a dev account and you'll have to restore to IOS 7.1.1

Installing this on a non-dev iPhone 5 device as we speak. Will report back in if it bricked my phone.

If your talking about the iOS 8 beta yes you can go back to iOS 7. But Apple only allows this till the official public release of iOS 8 then you can not go back to iOS 7 no more.

On the dev Center it says "Devices updated to iOS 8 beta can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. Only registered development devices will be able to upgrade to future beta releases and the final iOS software"

Curious if it'll work for non devs, I dealt with iOS 7 beta last year and it was fun and I'm looking into doing some dev possibly later on
