Production of a new iPad Air that has the same design but an updated A8 processor and a 8MP camera is set to begin this month, according to ETNews.
Displays for the device will enter production in the middle of the month and other major parts such as the camera module will begin mass production next month, says the site.
LG will be the first to begin making displays for the iPad Air 2. The 9.7-inch LCD is said to have the same 2048x1536 resolution as the current generation device. Samsung and Sharp will begin producing displays for the iPad Air 2 next month.
The new iPad will reportedly be outfitted with an A8 processor that's expected to bring a 50% increase in performance. The camera will also be upgraded from the current 5MP module to a better 8MP module.
Hmmmm well I have the other post and "yourmom" is talking rubbish, I have iPad 3 and iPad air and my brother has the iPad 2 and iPad mini retina, the iPad air and iPad mini retina are wayyyyyyy faster in response and function, than the iPad 3 which is much faster than the iPad 2....
I have an iPad Air lol. Aswell as the previous models. My iPad 2 works exactly the same as it does with my Air and I was like wtf. My Air actually crashes more often than my 2 does. The only differences are obviously gaming, but everything else is the same when it comes to performance.
Has anyone ever knocked on the glass of their iPad Air? It sounds hollow and cheap. I hate it. I'll stick with my iPad 2. Works just as good as the Air and the quality is top notch.
We'll listen you failed abortion. Clearly if your playing a game or tap on the screen it makes a hollow sound that's diff than the other iPads. It sounds like it's empty inside. I'm all about quality and the Air doesn't have that.
Shut up. The iPad Air is cheaper quality than the "2s" design. That thing is a damn tank. There should have been 3 options for the iPad. The Air, the mini, and just a regular that maintains that hard quality
Regular? It's exactly the same as the airs design would be but the sides changed by a little and it's thinness but that barely makes any difference except for the weight.
