Apple Releases OS X 10.10 Yosemite Preview 4 to Developers

Apple has released OS X 10.10 Yosemite Developer Preview 4 Update 1.0 to developers for testing.

The update can be installed via Software Update on your Mac. Apple says "This update is recommended for all users." It's should also be available on the Mac Dev Center shortly.

Apple also released Yosemite Recovery Update 1.0 today that includes improvements to OS X Recovery and is recommended for all users running OS X Yosemite.

I was wondering what happened. I had gotten Mavericks betas but no Yosemite.

I have been running the public beta since the beginning. I registered online and for immediate acceptance. Not a mac developer

As far as I know, the public beta program did not start yet. At the moment, they are accepting applications for beta testers. When the public beta program starts, beta testers that have applied should be contacted for beta testing.

They should keep the link since evidently the Yosemite public betas haven't started yet. Those who haven't signed up can probably still do so.

It hasn't started yet. The developer beta's need to be out the way first to get core stability to the system. Should happen shortly.
