Windows 98 Running on the iPad Air 2 [Video]

Posted February 12, 2015 at 12:28am by iClarified · 28194 views
Reddit user 8bitsince86 has posted a video of an iPad Air 2 running Windows 98 and the classic game Fallout 2.

The feat is made possible thanks to a jailbroken iPad and DOSPAD (based on DOSBox) which was installed from the Cydia repo:

8bitsince86 has posted a zip file with his dospad configuration and a couple batch files made to load games within Windows. Before you can use those files you will need to follow instructions to install Windows.

Here's a tutorial for DOSBox (Android); however, the steps are similar for DOSPAD (iOS).

Check out the video below or hit the link for more details...

S@mur@! - "So windows users can run something useable on a superior Apple product." sure what a superior product can barely run a Microsoft Windows 98 OS on it, why not put Windows 95 with Microsoft Plus lol hahaha supiror he says lol hahahaha... My Google tablet can run Windows 8, and I have done it and works perfectly. And I love the name i-Pad, last time I checked pads are something women use, so you can put that up your snatch lol hahahahah. Which explains the G#Y colors OS. And your G#Y ceo, your leader is being run by a F#G, at least Steve Jobs were straight lol hahahahh

Words mean more than one kind of meaning. You must have your mind turned on by Stone Age due to what things used to mean before tablets. That's another meaning of what ipad represents numb skull. That's why you don't know quality colors when you see it, but instead your mind is juiced my semen that makes you color blind. Your parents must have raised you like a clueless b1tch to make you vision your world like you expect. At least your granny didn't disappoint that much! Lawl HARHARHARHARHAR

I like the surface pro 3 better

Still doesn't compare to ipad. You have your built in keyboard with a choice of 2 operating systems with mobile or web versions. No need to break the functionality of the start button.

Used both and I prefer the surface 3. There really is no comparison, the ipad is not all that productive in comparison but it's just a tablet.

Like you said the surface pro 3 kills my new iPad Air, it's like comparing a full on computer ( the Surface Pro 3, 500GB, USB 3 plugs and much much more, a personal computer all the way ) to a game Console ( My iPad Air, 128GB, and that about it! ). I really hope that Apple is working on the rumor iPad Pro because a PC in a Tablet is the future and Microsoft already got like 3 years head start so Apple start catching up please!!!
