Apple has finally provided us some detailed information on the battery life of the Apple Watch.

The company says that the Apple Watch will offer all day battery life lasting up to 18 hours, factoring in things like checking the time, receiving notifications, using apps, and doing a 30-minute workout. It reportedly gets around 3 hours of talk time, 6.5 hours of audio playback, 7 hours of workout tracking, 48 hours of time checking, and 72 hours in Power Reserve mode.

It will take approximately 2.5 hours to charge the Apple Watch to 100% and 1.5 hours to charge it to 80%.

Notably, Apple Watch battery performance claims are based on test results from the 38mm Apple Watch. A 42mm Apple Watch typically experiences longer battery life.
