Samsung Galaxy S6: Will it Bend? [Video]

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are set for release next month but already a 'bend test' of the device has been posted.

Following the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus last year, a few users began reporting that their device bent while in their pocket. A 'bendgate scandal' ensued and eventually subsided after customers realized it was unlikely to affect them.

Subsequently, smartphone manufacturers have touted their ability to resist bending as an advantage over the iPhone. As the Galaxy S6 will be the main competitor to the iPhone, it's not surprising that its bendability has already been tested.

I am for once happy for samsung, this will definitely make the s6 and samsung more popular no matter in a good or bad way. Laugh everyone, share to everywhere you want, make this viral, and I’m sure this will make the s6 launch even more popular. :D

Main deciding factor for me was the ability to easily use the device with one hand. That being the case, opted for the iPhone 5s over the 6. I also prefer the open design of bumper cases which are readily available for the 4/4S and 5/5s but not the 6 yet.

I went from iPhone 5 to 6. And now 6 plus. Love the size. Great for browsing. Tough to dial one-handed or text while driving. That's it.

Apple watch came after the 6 and been through special processes for strength let alone bulkiest but also increases price range so, it's better off buying a hard case anyway or be careful. I have a 6 plus still unbent.

I could care less about deforming my phone and more about hardware features. Although, I did manage to bend my iPad Mini once by sitting on it ... it was in my back pocket - and it was a big pocket, ok!

Bendability shouldn't be a deciding factor when purchasing a smart phone. S6 edge is a good phone. But it will take a lot more than that to switch me away from my iPhone 6

you meant smartphones shouldnt be bendable at all. i use iPhone 6 plus not becuz its best in class. More like im stuck into echo system and too lazy to switch to other platform. But upgrading from iPhone 5 to 6 Plus does gave me several problems. And the biggest one will be i have to carry it with my hands or in bags. Too afraid to put it in pocket and bend it.
