Check out this scratch test of the Apple Watch's sapphire display glass.
The test, performed by iPhonefixed, uses display glass from the stainless steel Apple Watch line. The Apple Watch Sport doesn't use sapphire glass; rather, it uses strengthened Ion-X glass.

Please try an icepick on the glass. Can you slam that glass harder when you're using the hammer?

The real test is with the non sapphire screen on the sport watch to see how tough it is.

Call him? Look at his face, that says it all, but wow, with sapphire display on an apple product for the first time, I can't wait to see how next iPhones will do.
