Microsoft has released an update to OneNote for iPhone and iPad that brings several improvements including better lists for iPhone, ruled note paper for iPad, and more.

Capture your thoughts, discoveries, and ideas with OneNote, your very own digital notebook. With OneNote you can seize that moment of inspiration, plan that big event, or track that list of errands that are too important to forget. Whether you're at home, in the office, or on the go, your notes are available to you on all your devices.

What's New for iPhone:
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! In the past, lists worked best with a keyboard, mouse, and screens even the largest of cargo shorts couldn’t accommodate. We’ve fixed it. Lists – much like crudites – have been rendered finger friendly.

Pro-Tip: Convert any page to a list by tapping the Action Button and selecting “View as List”.

Hot off the presses (and our listicle, “10 Features Teachers Love and Students Loathe”) it’s now possible to view Equations. In deference to students’ pleas that we leave some excuses for not completing their homework it is not possible to edit them. Yet.

What's New for iPad:
Torn between your love for the straight, orderly lines of ruled paper and the infinite possibilities of free-form notetaking? Yearn no longer! You can now add ruled or grid lines to your OneNote page. Imagine the geometrically regular possibilities!

Hot off the presses (and our listicle, “10 Features Teachers Love and Students Loathe”) it’s now possible to view and edit Equations. Students’ requests we provide excuses for failing to complete their homework have been, in this case, ignored.
