Apple Seeds Second Beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to Public Testers

Apple has seeded a second beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to public beta testers. The beta follows a developer release of El Capitan Beta 4.

OS X El Capitan refines the Mac experience and improves system performance. Building on last year's landmark release of OS X Yosemite, El Capitan introduces enhancements to window management, built-in apps and Spotlight search, and makes everyday activities—from launching apps to accessing email—faster and more responsive. Metal, Apple’s breakthrough graphics technology, is integrated into El Capitan delivering system-wide performance gains and enabling games and pro apps to tap into the full power of Mac graphics processors.

I don't have a newer computer. Mine is a MBP 2009 which I try very hard to keep going. And I count on Apple to keep supporting older machines, but I know one of these days they won't. There is a new bill being proposed which I supported in NYS called the Fix IT bill or something like that which proposes making parts available so ordinary people can fix their own computers when they age.. I haven't had too many problems with Yosemite, Most of my complaints are with certain designs and taking away other features that were working well and which I really liked. I'll just wait until the new system comes out and hope it works on my computer without a hitch.

I'm currently using a 2015 Retina Display MacBook Pro, there were only a few bugs with the first public release but this second release has really got a lot of the bugs worked out and I hardly notice it at all. Would definitely recommend if you have newer hardware :) and I'm not sure why so many people were having problems with Yosemite, I had a 2013 Retina MacBook Pro which worked fine with Yosemite after upgrading from Mavericks so I think it was a hit and a miss with some people. However this public beta of El Capitan works great and I use it on my everyday computer.
