iOS 8 Adoption Reaches 87% Just Prior to the Release of iOS 9 [Chart]

Apple has announced that adoption of iOS 8 has reached 87%, just prior to the release of iOS 9.

The breakdown as measured on September 14th, is 87% for iOS 8, 11% for iOS 7, and 2% for earlier versions.

So what happened to all those 1st gen ipads and older ipod touchs ? Only 2% on earlier than iOS 7? Really?

They don't support iOS 7, probably iOS 4 or 5. 2ome 2nd gen iPads will support iOS 9, iPhones? Idk.
