How to Fix a 'Slide to Upgrade' Screen That Won't Go Away

Apple has posted instructions on how to fix a 'Slide to Upgrade' screen that won't go away during the update to iOS 9 process.

When the Slide to Upgrade screen doesn't respond, find out what to do.

Here's the steps to resolve the problem:

Step One
Connect your iOS device to a computer that you've previously synced with iTunes. Then make sure iTunes is open.

Step Two
Select your device. If you don't see it listed, force restart your device by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Step Three
If you made an iTunes backup of your device before updating to iOS 9, restore your device from that backup. If not, you need to make a backup of your device in iTunes, then restore from that backup.

We didn't run into this problem. If you have, let us know how you got past it in the comments!

I read about this issue today on Macrumors as well... I must say that this makes me incredibly nervous to upgrade to IOS 9 and El Capitan.... I believe I will wait a couple weeks or months if necessary before I upgrade all my devices. Hopefully by then majority of the bugs will be ironed out.
