While the iPhone 6s has been found to survive being submerged in a small amount of water for an hour, it doesn't fair so well if dropped in a pool
iDeviceHelp tested the iPhone 6s by dropping it in a 4 foot deep pool. The result? At the one minute mark there was some unresponsiveness with the touchscreen. At the two minute mark the phone died.
Interestingly, a rumor today claims that Apple is working towards making the iPhone 7 waterproof. With the Apple Watch being basically waterproof and the iPhone 6s' increased water resistance, we're hopeful that report is true.
