Foxconn has reportedly selected Maharashtra as the location for a new $10 billion manufacturing plant in India that will exclusively make Apple devices, reports The Economic Times.

Foxconn is said to be looking for 1,200 acres of land in the state and has already found two or three possible locations. The deal is close to being signed but negotiations are still ongoing with the government.

Sources also tell the site that it will take about 18 months for Foxconn to set up the plant once a deal is signed.

Founder Terry Gou previously said that he was looking to set up 10-12 facilities in various Indian states including factories and data centers by 2020.
