Apple has published updated App Store Review Guidelines and commissioned Madefire to create a Comic Book version of the guidelines. Developers at WWDC received a printed copy of the comic book to take home.
We’ve rewritten the App Review Guidelines to be more helpful, provide more context, and incorporate the guidelines for Mac apps. We hope these updates will help your app sail through App Review. While the guidelines themselves haven’t changed, the previous App Store and Mac App Store Review Guidelines will remain available for apps currently in the review process.
"Apple has put a lot of thought into reorganizing and simplifying the guidelines into five sections and this gave us a great opportunity to work with different illustrators and to develop five totally different graphic styles. Each section is a visual story, and we really wanted the visuals to react with the serious content of the guidelines," said Madefire co-founder Ben Wolstenholme.
