Apple has announced that Bootcamp will support Windows 7 by years end.
Apple will support Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate) with Boot Camp in Mac OS X Snow Leopard before the end of the year. This support will require a software update to Boot Camp.
Requirements: In addition to the Boot Camp update, you will need the following: Your own authentic copy of Microsoft Windows 7 or Microsoft Windows 7 upgrade An Intel-based Mac computer

I've been using windows 7 in bootcamp since the first beta was released with no problems. The leopard DVD found all the drivers it needed for the windows 7 side. The was the 10.5.6 retail install disk.
