Hacker Luca Todesco, also known as qwertyoruiopz, has jailbroken the iPhone 7 on iOS 10.1.1. Todesco previously demonstrated a jailbreak of the iPhone 7 on iOS 10.0.1.
Todesco tweeted, "Updated my stuff so it works on 10.1 too now."
While we aren't expecting Todesco to release a public jailbreak, it's still good to know that a jailbreak of iOS 10.1.x is possible. Hopefully, we'll see a jailbreak become available to the public soon.

How many times did I read this in iClarified posts?

Isn't it obvious that Apple will release an update ever time the jailbreak team shows a glimpse that their latest software is jailbroken? These hackers need to just straight up release it and not warn that they have successfully JBing it.

Apple can't block what they can't see, and a video doesn't reveal the coding of the jailbreak, so they won't be able to patch it based on a demo alone.

What's the bounty @quertyiopz is going to make off this? I assume that's why he is advertising it, yea?

Simple, if he shares now Apple shuts it down. Think about it!

We all gotta realize anyway that jailbreaking is dead. Since Apple does the jailbreak bounty most hack for them. What's new now is using Cydia Impactor or adding cracked apps thru profile verification. Ehh it's all good.

Wasn't somebody offering $1 million for an iOS 10 jailbreak? Why doesn't the smart guy just claim the million dollars so we can all enjoy this hack!!

I hope this release is better than the iOS 9 jailbreak. The previous version had several issues that made it difficult for users to enjoy.

I work in the mobile phone industry and I've had every iPhone since the original iPhone 2G. Every one has been jailbroken and when people ask me what phone is better I always say the same thing; The iPhone. IF its jailbroken. This year things are looking very bad for a future jailbreak release though and it may well be the first time I switch. I upgraded a couple months after release date as I watch news about the newest iPhone, any issues or problems and jailbreak news. I wasn't thrilled with anything on the iPhone 7 as it just isn't a great phone. I'm heading very very close to time to upgrade and just can't see myself buying the iPhone 7 :(

I actually love the 7 and it's a wonderful phone. Upgraded from a 5s and man could I not be more satisfied.

How could you not love it coming from a 5s??

I already switched to S7 since the absent of Jailbreak for awhile now. I missed iOS but not enough reason to go back.

I recommend waiting to upgrade. The iPhone 7 doesn't have many new features. I still use an iPhone 5; the 10th anniversary iPhone next year is expected to be groundbreaking.

There are two big qualifiers to that statement; 1- you switched from a 5s. So naturally you're pretty impressed. 2- I'm guessing your 5s wasn't jailbroken so you don't really know what you're missing. Answer: A lot!

Apple won here... Jailbreaking has been a pain since iOS 9 from a user experience point of view. Cydia and homebrew apps universe must be moving to AutoSign frameworks IMO.
