Amazon Discounts Apple Watch Series 12, Ultra 4 Available to Pre-Order

Amazon is selling several Apple Watch Series 12 configurations below Apple's price ahead of the September 18 release, covering the Cellular aluminum, titanium and ceramic models. Apple Watch Ultra 4 is available to pre-order at Apple's price.

The 42mm Cellular in Natural Titanium is $679 and the 46mm is $729, each $20 below Apple's price. The 46mm in Night Blue Ceramic is $929, also $20 off. The Space Gray Aluminum Cellular models are $489.99 in 42mm and $539.99 in 46mm, $9.01 below Apple's. Every GPS aluminum model, including the $399 entry configuration, is at Apple's price.

The same prices apply to other finishes. The 42mm Radiant Gold Titanium with the Burgundy Sport Band at $679, the 42mm Natural Titanium with the Milanese Loop at $729, and the 42mm Radiant Gold Titanium with the Radiant Gold Milanese Loop at $729.

The configurations Amazon has not discounted are at Apple's price. Series 12 starts with the 42mm GPS in Black Aluminum at $399, with the 46mm GPS at $449, the 42mm Cellular at $499, and the 46mm Cellular at $549.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 is open for pre-order at Apple's price in Natural Titanium with the Ocean Band at $799 and Black Titanium with the Milanese Loop at $899. Apple opened pre-orders on September 9 and says store availability begins Friday, September 18.

Both watches run Apple's new S11 chip and the Health Sensing System, which pairs new optical and electrical heart sensors to read heart rate every five seconds through the day and to measure heart rate variability up to 24 times more often. A readiness score rates recent activity, training load, vitals and sleep from 0 to 10 and returns one of four recommendations: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready or Go For It. Series 12 is rated for up to 24 hours of everyday battery life and 10 hours of outdoor workout tracking, with a 15-minute charge adding up to 12 hours. Ultra 4 is rated for up to 50 hours, or 84 in Low Power Mode, with a 15-minute charge adding up to 18 hours and Extended Workout mode recording for up to 25 hours.
