Apple's September Launches: Pre-Order Dates and Release Dates

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders open tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, at 5 a.m. Pacific / 8 a.m. Eastern. They're the next major step in Apple's fall rollout, with deliveries and store availability beginning September 18.

The new Apple Watches and AirPods are already available to pre-order, while iPhone Duo has a separate October launch. Here's the order and release schedule for every device Apple announced this week, along with U.S. starting prices.

These are Apple's announced first-wave dates. Availability varies by country, and the delivery estimate for a particular configuration may move beyond launch day as orders come in.

iPhone 18 Pro: Pre-Orders Open September 12

Both iPhone 18 Pro models go up for pre-order Saturday at 5 a.m. Pacific, 6 a.m. Mountain, 7 a.m. Central, and 8 a.m. Eastern. Initial availability begins Friday, September 18, in the U.S., Canada, and other first-wave markets. A second group of 20 countries and regions follows September 25.

Apple's Get Ready option is available until 9 p.m. Pacific tonight, Friday, September 11. Choose your iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max and payment option in advance, then return at 5 a.m. Pacific / 8 a.m. Eastern on September 12 to complete your pre-order.


The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the Pro Max at $1,299, both with 256GB of storage. Each is available in black, silver, glacier, and burgundy, with 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations also offered.


Both iPhone 18 Pro sizes open for pre-order September 12 in four finishes.

Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4: Pre-Orders Are Open

Orders for both new Apple Watch models opened September 9. The Series 12 starts at $399, while Ultra 4 starts at $799. Both arrive in stores September 18, including in the U.S. and Canada. Amazon has also opened Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 pre-orders, with early discounts on select Series 12 configurations.

AirPods 5: Both Versions Arrive September 18

AirPods 5 pre-orders also opened September 9. The standard package costs $129, and AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case costs $149. Both have the same September 18 release date in the U.S. and more than 65 other countries and regions. Both versions are also available to pre-order on Amazon.

iPhone Duo: October 16 Pre-Orders, October 23 Release

Apple's folding iPhone follows a month later. iPhone Duo pre-orders begin Friday, October 16, at 5 a.m. Pacific / 8 a.m. Eastern, with initial availability October 23 in the U.S., Canada, and other first-wave markets. Another 28 countries and regions follow October 30.


iPhone Duo has an October launch, separate from the September release of iPhone 18 Pro.

Apple's Software Updates Arrive September 14

The software rollout comes between pre-order day and the first hardware releases. iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27 arrive Monday, September 14, with tvOS 27 also expected that day. See the iOS 27 release notes for the update's features.

Some announcements have their own later rollout. The redesigned Health app and the new Watches' Audio Intelligence features are due later this year. Siri AI begins as a beta with language, device, and regional restrictions, so a new device's release date doesn't mean every announced feature is available that day.
