Apple has released the first public beta of macOS Sierra 10.12.4 which features a new Night Shift mode.
The beta was released to developers on Tuesday and has the following focus areas:
Focus Areas Please focus testing on the following areas: • Night Shift preference for automatically shifting the colors of your display to the warmer end of the spectrum after dark • Siri support for checking Cricket scores, schedules, and player rosters from the Indian Premier League and International Cricket Council • Dictation support for Shanghainese • Displaying, manipulating and generating PDFs with system-provided APIs

Pity sierra does not work on iMac 27", still has boot/reboot fault.

No night shift on macs prior to 2012 unfortunately. Just installed on 2011 MB Air and nothing... others report same. sad to see apple limiting things like this that i'd assume have NO need for modern hardware (or shouldn't because its so simple; i'm using f.lux just fine now). Just to get folks to upgrade? Really Apple!?
