A new Amazon Echo with built-in touchscreen has allegedly been leaked online. AFTVNews, a site that also spotted the Echo Look before its release, has found a low resolution of the new Echo on Amazon's servers.
The new device is codenamed 'Knight' and is expected to be released later this month.
Similar to my past leaks, I don’t have much information other than the image itself. We know from past sources that this will be the flagship Alexa device in Amazon’s lineup. It’s expected to have better sounding speakers than the current Amazon Echo. The screen is rumored to be a touchscreen that’s 7 inches in size.
The screen is angled up slightly which would make using it easier if it were sitting on a countertop. Below the screen are the main speakers and above it there may be an integrated camera which could be used for video calls.
Pricing is unclear but it will likely cost more than the $179.99 Echo.
