Apple has announced a new iTunes Store Credit payment option for affiliates.
We are excited to announce that you can now choose to receive your affiliate commissions in iTunes Store Credit. The credit can be used to purchase anything on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and the Mac App Store.
Currently, Apple supports iTunes Store Credit payouts in US Dollars or Japanese Yen only. This means that if you have transactions that have taken place on the US or JP iTunes Storefronts, you will be able to redeem these commissions as iTunes Store Credit through the affiliate dashboard.
Setup Procedure:
● In the affiliate dashboard, navigate to Settings > Payment, where you can set your new payment method and select your desired local currency (JPY or USD only)
● Click on Add Payment Method and make sure to select iTunes Store Credit in the Payment Method dropdown menu and configure all applicable fields
● Set up your self bill and desired threshold at a minimum of $5 USD or ¥500 (maximum amounts are also applicable at $500 USD or ¥50,000)
● Details of your code as well as redemption instructions will be sent to the registered email address associated with your affiliate account
NOTE: Paid Currency and Country of Bank must match the Country of the Tracked Currency.
