Zidware has released their innovative educational app, MATHeroids, into the App Store. Matheroids (pronounced "math-tu-roids") is part of their new "Nanoschool Kids" series of personal learning apps for children that will cover basic comprehension, math, science, geography, reading and mobile play in fun "video-game" like learning environments. All developed just for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
MATHeroids was created by parents as an amazingly simple way for young children to learn basic number recognition and sequencing as they play their way through a hip space arcade game. Players can enter their name, control a space ship, thrust and blast a mix of numbered asteroids counting from 1 to 10 or higher through several levels of play. Then the high score is automatically recorded when the game is over!
The MATHeroids App was developed by the creators of ABC Invaders (coming soon), Photo Van Go, My Thanksgiving, Retro Clock, Pinball Wizard!, My Alphabet, Pix iT!, My Numbers and more. Zidware, Inc. does it again with this ultra hip mobile game, that is so easy to use, allowing boys and girls to battle the expanding matheroid universe, while gaining skill in basic number counting as they become "Math-tro-nauts".
Fun Mobile Game Features! MATHeroids comes packaged with a fantastic look, easy to read colorful asteroid numbers all wrapped up in play-a-long voice commands to guide kids as the game expands. Fine motor skills are needed and emphasized as children have to master the interface while they focus on the mission at hand. Familiar video game buttons complete the chunky interface feel. Players can press or tap to move, rotate and fire a laser cannon from their ship as they learn their numbers!
Added features include: * Simple 1 player gameplay * Easy to read number scoring * Large control pads for gameplay * Colorful graphics and future sounds * Space command voice instruction * Basic achievement through level play * Special UFO shuttle for bonus points
About Nanoschool Kids: MATHeroids was developed as a module of the Nanoschool Project, a "smart" interactive based learning environment of thinking architecture and digital media products. Nanoschool was created originally by John Popadiuk as a Thesis project at Columbia College Chicago as a solution to mesh together the natural and technologically enhanced "world of learning' kids find themselves in today.
Pricing and Availability: Matheroids 1.0 is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Education category.
