Apple is planning to release a revised 4.7-inch iPhone 8 in March 2020 that will be targeted at the mid-range smartphone market, reports UDN.
The device is said to feature a 4.7-inch FHD LCD display, an A13 processor, a single rear camera, 128GB of storage and new PCB design.
The new 4.7-inch iPhone 8 is likely to carry a price tag of about NT$20,000 (US$649), targeting the mid-tier smartphone segment, where Apple had been ignored and lost its market share out to China's rivals including Oppo and Vivo.
Pegatron is expected to land orders for the new device with projected production of about 20 million units.

Representing at least 50% of their market, you’d think this would be a no-brainer, instead of a after-thought. Most users will still go with the larger sizes, but for those who the bigger phones present a heath risk, not offering it is a guarantee those users WILL go elsewhere, causing additional lost iPad, laptop, Mac and accessories sales.
