iH8Sn0w has released a beta of Sn0wbreeze a software utility which jailbreaks the iPod Touch 1G, 2G and iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3G[S](old bootrom & non MC).
The software requires Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32 or 64 bit), .NET Framework 3.5, and 256mb of RAM to run.
Sn0wbreeze is similar to PwnageTool for Mac. It will allow you to create custom ipsws which can be built to include Cydia applications and personalized boot logos.
Currently, the beta only supports SIMPLE mode. SIMPLE mode only provides a jailbroken and activated ipsw. iH8Sn0w has announced that EXPERT mode will be completed by Monday at which time a final version of the application will be released.
At this time BlackRa1n is still recommended for Windows users due to its ease of use. Once the final version of Sn0wbreeze is released we will post a tutorial for those looking to build their own custom ipsws.
[Important Update]: It has come to our attention that Sn0wbreeze may be using work from the iPhone Dev Team without credit and may be breaking the xpwn license. Apparently Sn0wbreeze also embeds the bootloaders required for jailbreak which is illegal. Until these issues are resolved it may be prudent to wait for the release of RedSn0w or PwnageTool for Windows.

The dev team has had a year(s) to make a win version and has had a missed chance with the delay in updates from apple. Competitors have been working but not them? Also please explain what's illegal about imbeding botloaders and how/why this Jb/unlock process is different from dev/geohot tools. I have been waiting at 3.0 to update while preserving baseband but was about to go ahead with blacksnow since it can still unlock at current baseband. I'll be watching this though.

Ok I now see they are "apple" botloaders. And this beta is down while copyright issues are fixed. But how does the other jailbreak tool get around that? What I think the final version will be is a windows version of pwnagetool joint announcement by this guy and dev team. Hopefully we will still get this and everyone will be happy ;)

Agreed! Please pull this post at least until they remove the copyright infringing code. iClarified should not be associated with breaking the law.

Please note this is a news article not a tutorial. We will make a decision on posting a tutorial based on the final version of the software. Thanks.

Thank you iC for the statement. Censorship is Apple's, not iC's.

Please consider removing and posting news about Sn0wbreeze as it damages the Jailbreak community.
You can read MuscleNerd's twitter account and see the issues that are at stake.

You may want to view Musclenerd's (one of the Dev Team) Twitter stream to see how disingenuous iH8Sn0w has been with this release before deciding to use it. It is Dev Team work (xpwn) reskinned with a GUI and (at least until recently) without giving due credit. I'd consider waiting for the official redsn0w release from the Dev Team to support software that is not only carefully put together and tested but also done on the up-and-up.
