Apple has announced that iOS 12 adoption has officially reached 88%.
In a chart posted to its developer site, Apple revealed that as of August 6, 2019, 88% of devices are using iOS 12, 7% are using iOS 11 and 5% are using an earlier firmware version. That's up 3% from May 30, 2019 when 85% of devices were on iOS 12.
Apple also shared a chart which shows adoption for devices sold after August 6, 2015. Of those, 90% are on iOS 12, 7% are on iOS 11, and 3% are on an earlier firmware version.

It’s not adoption if it’s forced... you can’t downgrade to whatever iOS you want, forced to always go to the latest, even if your on an old version and you go into Apple for a repair, they make you update to the latest iOS...
