Apple has released the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK to developers which reveals some features about the iPad. The 3.2 OS only runs on the tablet and will not run on the iPhone or iPod touch.

The iPad will have External Display Support. This means iPad applications will be able to target display content to an external screen which would be connected via the dock connector.

A shared file directory is now provided that will mount on your Mac or PC when the device is connected. iPad applications will be able to access this directory, making it easy to transfer documents to and from your computer.

While the iPad is able to support Universal Applications there is no Multitasking. The official documentation indicates that only one application can run at a time.
