Do it the easiest, safest and yet simplest way. just visit here and find out. i hope that iclarified will look into my methodology and come up with more easier way as this issue has been a big problem and i personally know how frustrating and boring it is to have an iPhone without this fix!!! thanks Nabeel

I'm not familiar with the SwrPhone App, but based on your description I think you should combine both.
Emad - March 11, 2008 at 11:11pm
Okay! So should i install a app called SwePhone (that includes translates and wordlist) and a program for the swedish letters (åäö) instead? or should i combine them all?
ARCHER - March 11, 2008 at 10:20pm
@Emad: Yes, it works on 1.1.4 You will have Swedish keyboard, but not the complete translation. You will only get date, days, months and similar items translated to Swedish.
Emad - March 11, 2008 at 8:09pm
If I install this app and select Swedish, does the keyboard and the language of the phone change to swedish? And does this work for iPhone 1.1.4 ?

I keep getting a "main script execution failed" on 1.1.4 when I run this and the appsupport package as well. Any thoughts?

@ Archer: That's what I want. By default you only have: English, English(UK), French, German, Italian. I'm Portuguese so, I would like to have that keyboard too. I'm not very comfortable with ssh. My only experience with it was when I unlocked my 1.1.2 otb with gunlock and had to copy some files, set permissions and run comands trought terminal on the iPhone. I will wait a day or two to see if a patch trough Installer arrives if not, I will give it a try.
ARCHER - March 3, 2008 at 5:59am
@José: I've checked this. Now I have these keyboards on 1.1.4 iPhone: English, English (UK), French, French (Canada), German, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian Bokmal, Finnish, Polish, Portugese. So

@ Archer: This is the link to unlock the hidden keyboards on the iPhone: I stated the iPod Touch for comparison because by default the iPod Touch already have those keyboards but Apple hidden most of them in the iPhone.
ARCHER - March 2, 2008 at 8:57pm
@José: Can you please name the source of the information about unlocking all keyboards on Touch 1.1.4? Thanx.
José - March 2, 2008 at 7:06pm
Hi! What I meant was that the iPhone only shows 5 keyboards but it has more built in (like fw 1.1.4 in iPod iTouch). There is a way to make them visible already but I'm not very confortble in copying files through ssh. If you guys could do a patch similair to this one it was fantastic! :)
Rob - March 2, 2008 at 2:36pm
jose just turn off the keyboards you don't want to show. That how easy that is.

If I wanted to manually update this to include my country, how can I go about doing this? What are the benefits of region support? Thanks!
pierrox - March 2, 2008 at 10:27am
Does this allow to use the iPhone in countries that don't have it yet without crashing on calls and sms?
chams - March 2, 2008 at 7:49am
Could you please include, Sinhala to the list. Thanks

Hey, if I choose Russia in International settings, is there anyway I can keep the phone number formatting on, but set the time format to 12 hour (with AM and PM) and also have the slide screen show the day of the week? Those setting can be altered when USA is chosen)) but the number formatting is off...
José - March 2, 2008 at 4:03am
You guys are the best! :) Now I just need a way to have all keyboards not shown by default. Please please make it happen ;)
