Apple may be looking to acquire streaming rights to the new James Bond film, 'No Time To Die'.

Earlier this month, MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April 2021 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience.

According to film critic and screenwriter Drew McWeeny, both Netflix and Apple are now bidding to debut the film on their respective platforms.

I can't get my head around the idea that we may well see James Bond debut on Apple TV+ or Netflix. The numbers I've been hearing the last few days are I N S A N E...

McWeeny notes that there is serious pressure on MGM to sell.

There is serious pressure on MGM to sell the film to a streaming service. And there are some MONSTER offers on the table already.

The move wouldn't be unprecedented for Apple. It previously acquired Tom Hanks' Greyhound film for Apple TV+; however, the cost to debut a Bond film would be much higher.
