Apple has added the ability to set the wallpaper for your Home Screen in the latest beta of the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK.

The beta which was just temporarily released has been taken down due to an apparent bug.

A few sites were able to download it before it was removed and found that the SDK now contains the Photos application for the iPad. Mac4Ever posted a screenshot showing a Camera tab in the application and now 9to5Mac is posting evidence of the ability to set photos as your Home Screen Wallpaper in addition to the Lock Screen Wallpaper option currently available.

In the photos app when you select an image, you can choose to set it as the "Lock Screen" or "Home Screen" wallpaper. There is also an option which allows you to simultaneously set an image as the wallpaper for both aspects of the device. Furthermore it is also possible to have a different images as the lock screen and home screen wallpapers.
