Next year's Apple Watch, possibly called the Apple Watch Series 8, will be able to take your body temperature, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In a research note, Kuo said that he was optimistic about demand for the 2022 Apple Watch given that it will offer new health management features, including body temperature measurement. The feature could be used to detect a fever and help with fertility planning.

A recent report from the WSJ corroborates work on a temperature sensor for the smartwatch and notes that Apple is also working on a blood pressure sensor, though that sensor could take longer to implement.

Apple Watch isn't the only product rumored to get new health functions. Kuo says that AirPods could also provide health management features. Earlier this year DigiTimes predicted that AirPods would eventually be able to "monitor heart rates, step counts, and health conditions."

Kuo says that Chinese supplier Luxshare Precision will be the "largest beneficiary" of Apple's new health management products.
