Apple is Aggressively Expanding Mini-LED Production [Kuo]

Apple is aggressively expanding mini-LED production, despite notebook market headwinds caused by inflation and the Russia-Ukraine war, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Yesterday, Kuo predicted that the gap between mini-LED MacBook Pro and OLED notebook shipments may widen over the next year.

A good report from DSCC clearly shows the current state of high-end notebook display technologies. I think the gap between mini-LED MacBook Pro and OLED notebook shipments may widen in 2022-2023. Apple can outperform competitors in the face of inflation thanks to brand value.

Today, he followed up saying that Apple is trying to boost production by 20-23%.

Although the notebook/PC market is suffering from inflation/Russian-Ukrainian war, Apple is still aggressively expanding the supply chain capacity of mini-LED panels for MacBook Pro, aiming to increase 20-30%.

Apple's new mini-LED 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros have received rave reviews. Currently, the 14-inch MacBook Pro (1TB) is on sale for $250 off and the 16-inch MacBook Pro is $100 off.
