An official Netflix application for the iPad will be available on its April 3rd launch, according to AppAdvice and PCWorld.
The iPad app will work as part of an unlimited Netflix membership which costs $8.99 per month. It will let you sync movies on your tablet with where you left off on your computer.
Screenshots initially posted by AppAdvice show that Apple has approved the free application and it's just waiting for you to get your iPad.
**Note: We don't believe this to be an April Fools joke as it has been multiple sources are reporting it.

this is great and all for iPad users, but what about the rest of us adamant on just keeping and using our iphones/ipod touches? are iPad apps all (some?) backwards compatible too to our smaller screen devices, or just the other way around?
