Apple is planning to release an Apple Watch with a 2.1-inch micro-LED display; as well as, lower priced AirPods in 2024, according to a new report from Haitong International Securities Jeff Pu.
A micro-LED Apple Watch would be able to deliver higher brightness compared to current models with OLED displays. Based on the 2.1-inch display size, it would likely be an update to the 1.93-inch Apple Watch Ultra currently available. The larger display and increased brightness could be beneficial to athletes and adventurers, especially when used in extreme conditions.
Pu also predicts that Apple will release "AirPods Lite" in 2024. These AirPods would be priced lower to compete with wireless earphones from other companies; however, no further details were provided. Currently, the cheapest AirPods you can buy are the $129 AirPods 2. These often go on sale at Amazon for around $99.
In his research note, Pu also predicted various features for the upcoming iPhone 15, including a titanium frame, solid state buttons, and 8GB of RAM. More details on the iPhone 15 here.
