Apple has asked Mark Fiore to resubmit his iPhone application which was previously rejected because it "ridicules public figures".
The cartoonist won the Pulitzer Prize for his editorial cartooning; however, Apple deemed them inappropriate for the App Store. This led to an uproar in the press accusing Apple of censoring editorial content.
A representative from Apple called the cartoonist Thursday and suggested that he resubmit the app, Mr. Fiore said in an interview. “I feel kind of guilty,” he said. “I’m getting preferential treatment because I got the Pulitzer.”
