Upcoming 15-inch MacBook Air to Use M2 Chip [Rumor]

Apple's upcoming 15-inch MacBook Air model will purportedly use an M2 chip, rather than a new M3 chip, according to leaker yeux1122.

In a post on Naver, the leaker shared the following information from a Taiwanese supply chain source...

The new MacBook Air 15-inch model will be equipped with an M2 chip, not an M3, as originally planned, and related parts makers. It has been confirmed through In particular, it is said that Apple was not in a hurry to mount it due to complex factors such as market conditions and inventory adjustment, as well as TSMC's mass production problems.

Yeux1122 says that the M3 chip has been postponed but production of the 15-inch MacBook is scheduled for around June. This lines up with the expectation that Apple will unveil the new device at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), taking place June 5-9.
