Apple is likely to release its Vision Pro headset to customers outside of the U.S. before WWDC 2024, according to a new report from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The analyst believes that Apple plans to share more development details about visionOS at WWDC 2024 and an international launch prior to the conference would be "beneficial for promoting the global development ecosystem of visionOS."

Kuo suggests there are several reasons why the headset wasn't launched internationally from the start:

1) the limited initial supply of Vision Pro
2) first ensuring that the sales process in the U.S. market goes smoothly
3) the time needed to modify the algorithms to comply with regulations in other countries.

Once these issues are resolved, Kuo expects the Vision Pro will be available to purchase in additional countries.

Apple Vision Pro will go up for pre-order in the United States on January 19, 2024, ahead of a February 2, 2024 release date. Recent reports suggest there may only be 80,000 headsets available at launch.
