Apple Releases iOS 26.1 Beta and iPadOS 26.1 Beta to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the first beta of iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 to developers for testing. The release comes just one week after the public launch of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. The build number for this beta is 23B5044l.

It's unclear what new features are included in this first point update, though it likely focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements following the major release. The update may also prepare for some of the more advanced Apple Intelligence features that were not available at launch.
