Apple Releases macOS Tahoe 26.1 RC to Developers [Download]

Apple has released the first Release Candidate of macOS Tahoe 26.1 to developers for testing. The build number for this release is 25B77.

The update includes bug fixes and performance improvements following the major release of macOS Tahoe last month. As noted in the release notes, this version adds a new 'Tinted' option for the Liquid Glass interface, a feature that was also introduced during the iOS 26.1 beta cycle. The update may also prepare for some of the more advanced Apple Intelligence features that were not available at launch.

Developers with an Apple Silicon Mac can download the macOS restore image from the link below. Or, for devices running macOS 13.4 Ventura or later, go to System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and choose the macOS Tahoe Developer Beta to install this software.
