OpenAI is rolling out "Your Year with ChatGPT," a personalized retrospective that summarizes user interactions with the AI over the past year. The feature generates a report highlighting top conversation themes and usage statistics for eligible users.
To access the review, users need to ensure their app is updated and that both Memory and Reference Chat History are turned on in their settings. OpenAI says the experience is rolling out gradually throughout the day to users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. While it may appear automatically for some, users can manually trigger the report by tapping the "+" icon in the app and asking the chatbot to "show me my year with ChatGPT."
The feature is available to Free, Plus, and Pro accounts but excludes Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans. It also requires a minimum level of activity from 2025; accounts with limited history will see only basic statistics.
This release follows a busy December for OpenAI. The company recently added granular personality controls and integrated Apple Music directly into the chat interface. These updates join other major expansions on Apple platforms, including the ChatGPT Atlas browser for Mac and the powerful GPT-5.2 model.
