- iPhone: Mac, Windows - iPad: Mac, Windows

CAN YOU RETRIEVE YOUR SHSH BLOBS FOR YOUR ORIGNAL PHONE AND PUT THEM ON 3GS THAT HAS NEVER BEEN JAILBROKEN CURRENT FIRMWARE IS 4.0.2

i hope this helps :D
I feel bad people who upgraded just to save their SHSH ... you can save your 4.0 SHSH without upgradeing and No you can't save 3.1.3 SHSH anymore.... but if your on anyfirware 4.0 3.1.3 3.1 3.0.1.3.0 --- ANY firware you can save the SHSH for the current firmware.... your basicly saving apple signature .. but they only are currently signing current firmware so it don't matter what firware you have when you save the signature it will be the signutre for what ever is current. so many people don't get this and I feel bad for those of you who updated when you could have saved SHSH in seconds with 4.0 from your phone thats still one 3.1.3
Once i Upload my SHSh Blob does that mean i can Use Pwnagetool 4.01 to JB/Unlock My 3GS which i was not able to unlock or JB it when i updated it to IOS4? (which its still on) Do i just need to edit my host file for itunes to point to the SHSH file to restore a custom IPSW? Thanks... Im new to this kind of thing.
No, you would have had to of backed up 3.1.3 SHSH or 3.1.2 SHSH. blobs are only good for downgrading. this only helps you downgrade to 4.0 if you accidentally upgrade to 4.0.1 or 4.1. if you're currently on 4.0 back up now incase you upgrade later, so that you'll be able to downgrade. you'll have to wait for the 4.0 JB coming from @comex in the mean time.
I am prety sure that we are becouse that is exactly what i ve done and everything work ok. I` ve saved my shsh files from first try. BTW i have 3gs with new bootrom. Cheers
When I use Umbrella and manuelly enter my ECID (from the USB-Mobile Device (DFU) it is over written by a totally different number. Is this relevant, or will the ECID number as defined by Umbrella suffice?
I had the same thing happen. But I noticed the number that it's over writing it with is correspondent to a different number on my phone (im guess a serial number). Unless it's being overwritten by a default number, but I don't have another phone to test it. Mines being over written with "2577150165964", how about yours?
Apparently Saurik has changed & updated tiny umbrella considerably. As far as I can tell the GUI has been modernised and simplified.
Q.: The way I see it, the opening of the Terminal is no longer necessary. All SHSH files are stored safely in a hidden folder
