Android, Instalación en un Iphone 3G

La instalación de Android en el Iphone 2G e Iphone 3G ha sido posible gracias al trabajo de planetbeing y sus colaboradores.

Las instrucciones de Planetbeing para instalar Android se pueden encontrar aquí

Básicamente son los mismos pasos que antes, salvo que ahora el firmware se puede poner en una carpeta de la partición del Iphone OS. Con lo que ya no es necesario modificar la partición ext2 como antes. Algo que no había mencionado, es que se puede realizar la instalación en el OS X sin tener Linux VM recompilando loadibec y oibc. Por lo demás, los pasos son los mismos.

i am not really sure why the hell someone wants to replace the almost perfect stable OS of the iphone with Android. I tested all , windows, Android 1.6-2.1 and palm os, nothing comes even near to the apple OS in terms of usability, speed and stability. Feels for me like taking the porsche engine out and replace it with a GM one

its still a major break trough... by some time it will get better obviously.. and the main reason for this an alternative choice for some one like me to fuck around with.. there is no one sticking up a gun up ur arse and asking you to dual boot.. don't like it? keep it your self.

Well done to the whole crew that contributed to this breakthrough & success. Great job. On the other hand, I'll hold-off this experiment until the procedure(s)' a cakewalk.
