Anthropic has introduced a new set of integrations that connect its Claude AI assistant to popular creative tools used for design, 3D workflows, and music production. The release adds connectors for platforms including Adobe, Autodesk, Blender, Ableton, Splice, SketchUp, and Resolume, allowing Claude to work directly with these apps.
Rather than operating as a separate chatbot, Claude can now work with supported applications through dedicated connectors. The Adobe integration provides access to more than 50 tools across Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop, Premiere, and Express. The release follows Adobe's broader push toward AI-assisted workflows, including its Firefly AI Assistant. A separate Affinity by Canva connector focuses on repetitive production tasks like batch image adjustments, layer renaming, and file exports within existing projects.
For 3D and engineering workflows, Autodesk Fusion now allows users to create and modify models through natural language prompts. The Blender connector introduces a text-based interface to the software's Python API, making it easier to explore complex scenes, access documentation, and build scripts for applying changes across objects. Anthropic also confirmed it has joined the Blender Development Fund to support continued development of the API powering these integrations.
Additional connectors extend Claude's reach across other creative tools. SketchUp can turn conversational input into a starting point for 3D models, while Resolume Arena and Resolume Wire enable real-time control for live visual and VJ performances. On the audio side, Claude can search Splice's catalog of royalty-free samples and ground responses in official documentation for Ableton Live and Push directly within the chat interface.
Anthropic says the connectors are designed to handle repetitive tasks, assist with learning complex tools, and help bridge workflows between applications. Claude can translate formats, keep assets in sync across projects, and manage multi-step tasks such as setting up project structures or applying changes across files. It can also generate scripts, build parametric systems, and extend tools with custom code. The company also recently introducing Claude Design, a tool from its labs that can visualize software concepts and export them to other platforms, starting with Canva.
Alongside the rollout, Anthropic is launching an academic program with the Rhode Island School of Design, Ringling College of Art and Design, and Goldsmiths, University of London. Students and faculty will gain access to Claude and the new connectors as part of coursework, providing feedback on how the tools perform in real-world creative environments.
