Apple Seeds Second Betas of tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and HomePod Software 27 [Download]

Apple has provided developers with the second beta builds of tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and HomePod Software 27 for testing.



The new test builds arrive alongside the second developer betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. The updates carry build numbers 24J5305f for tvOS and HomePod Software, and 24M5306i for visionOS. They drop roughly two weeks after Apple seeded the initial test builds following its WWDC 2026 keynote.


For the headset, the visionOS 27 cycle introduces several major enhancements tied to Apple's artificial intelligence push. The update features a new 3D Siri AI visualization that users can place anywhere in their physical space and activate simply by looking at it. The software also brings Visual Intelligence capabilities to Apple Vision Pro, allowing users to ask Siri about active app windows or physical objects in their surrounding environment.

In the living room, tvOS 27 and HomePod Software 27 appear focused primarily on underlying system performance and stability. Apple has not published detailed release notes outlining specific user-facing changes for the Apple TV or HomePod in this cycle, but these updates ensure hardware compatibility with the broader ecosystem shifts happening across iOS and macOS.

Registered developers can download the new software directly through the Software Update section in the Settings app on their respective devices. As always, beta firmware is intended for dedicated testing hardware rather than primary devices.
