Download Apple's 'Golden Gate Sunset' and 'Golden Gate Night' Wallpapers for Mac

Apple has introduced two new desktop wallpapers in the third developer beta of macOS 27 Golden Gate, expanding the operating system's collection with scenic sunset and nighttime views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

The new images, titled "Golden Gate Sunset" and "Golden Gate Night," offer photorealistic alternatives to the abstract wallpaper included with the initial beta. Golden Gate Sunset captures the bridge bathed in warm golden-hour light, with waves washing over a rocky shoreline in the foreground. Golden Gate Night presents an aerial view of the illuminated bridge beneath a moonlit blue-hour sky, with the San Francisco skyline visible in the distance.


The new additions complement the wallpaper Apple introduced alongside macOS 27 at WWDC earlier this month. That original design embraced Apple's Liquid Glass aesthetic, using soft gradients, warm golds, cool grays, and overlapping translucent curves to create a three-dimensional effect.

Registered developers can select the new wallpapers from the Wallpaper section of System Settings after installing the latest test build.
