Apple has provided developers with the fourth betas of tvOS 27 and HomePod Software 27 for testing.
Update: watchOS 27 beta 4 is now available as well.
The new builds, both carrying version number 24J5325d, arrive alongside the fourth developer betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. This follows the third round of test builds released a few weeks ago.
While iOS and macOS receive the bulk of Apple's new artificial intelligence features this cycle, the tvOS 27 update focuses heavily on interface refinements and living room performance. Apple is introducing a completely redesigned Podcasts app for the Apple TV, along with a more responsive Control Center and new options for larger text sizes. Under the hood, the operating system brings smoother animations, faster app launches, and improved AirPlay reliability.
The companion HomePod Software 27 update appears geared toward underlying system stability and performance enhancements to keep Apple's smart speakers running smoothly alongside the broader ecosystem changes arriving this fall.
Registered developers can download the new tvOS beta directly through the Software Update section within the Settings app on an Apple TV. The HomePod update can be installed using the Home app on a connected iOS device.
