Leaker Hints Foldable iPhone Ultra Could Launch in Three Colors

Leaker Evan Blass has shared new images of Apple's rumored foldable iPhone, teasing a red finish alongside black and white.



In a post on X, Blass shared renders depicting the device in red, black, and white, asking followers, "What do you think of the 'exclusive red version'?" The images also include interface elements that do not match iOS 27, including an older-style battery indicator, so they should not be treated as evidence of the device's final design.


Earlier rumors suggested the foldable would arrive with a much more conservative color palette. A white dummy unit that surfaced in June led some to believe Apple might offer only a single color at launch, or perhaps just black and white. Reports earlier this year also described the device's palette as conservative.

By comparison, leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro lineup have consistently pointed to Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Silver, and possibly Space Gray. More recently, Apple employees have reportedly referred to the foldable internally as the iPhone Ultra.

There has not been a credible prior rumor pointing to a red finish for the foldable. Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable iPhone at its September 9 event.
