References to 'iTunes Live Stream' Found in iTunes 10.1

References to an 'iTunes Live Stream' service have been found in iTunes 10.1 by the Apple Lounge.

Translation entries in a plist file included with the recently updated application contains references to an 'Tunes Live Stream URL' that could be handled by iTunes.

MacRumors also notes that a series of Tweets from @dustinrue, reveals other references to "iTunes Live Stream URL" that suggest the ability to handle "itls" as a URI scheme. This would be similar to how iTunes uses "itms" to handle requests to connect to the iTunes Store.


It's unclear what exactly 'iTunes Live Stream' is and whether or not it involves Apple's HTTP Live Streaming technology.
