Sega has released Super Monkey Ball 1.0.1 which is said to improve control sensitivity.
TUAW posted the following hands on experience: In cursory testing (by yours truly), it does appear the update improves player control. As promised, the "dead zone" where the ball stops moving altogether is larger, and movement overall has become less erratic. I noticed that when trying to slow down, the monkey ball is less likely to turn around, which makes it easier to navigate tight corners and control speed.
Also included is an interactive tutorial and instructions. Notably, game play is now suspended when you press the "Home" button.
Super Monkey Ball 1.0.1 is a free update for existing users and $9.99 for new users.

You guys should update your config.inc.php on your installer repo so your packages show up on installer 4. Just letting you know.
P.S. It is at the bottom of the config.inc.php under
// Update this array whenever new firmware comes out. The repository will serve empty list of packages for all other versions.
$POSSIBLE_FIRMWARE_VERSIONS = array( '2.0', '2.0.1', '2.0.2' );
