Pod2g Hands Over the A4 Jailbreak to Chronic Dev-Team to Focus on A5 Devices

Pod2g has announced that he's handed over the A4 to the Chronic Dev-Team and is focusing all his energy on completing the A5 (iPhone 4S, iPad 2) jailbreak.

I read the comments on the blog, and I know that a lot of people are waiting for the A5 jailbreak. Also, I know there are tons of people out there with A4 or even earlier devices who wants the untether now and don't care about it could be interesting to wait A5 is finished to release or even 5.1, so that we don't waste an exploit that took me months to find and develop.

I need to focus on A5 and hope I can find a path quick, and I have the feeling that chronic-dev could help me. So, here is what I did:
● I gave all the details to the chronic dev team so that they can finish, test, integrate and release the A4 jb ASAP.
● I'll put all my energy from now on on the A5

For those waiting for an untethered jailbreak on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G, and iPad 1, it means you'll see a release sooner than later.

Ben, I agree with every word you wrote in your brilliant comment. Unfortunately, in this fast-paced, high-adrenaline day & age when expectations are known to go through the roof, people lose their perspective and the end result is the nonsensical exchanges in abundance. Nevertheless, I purely consider it entertainment and shove them on the back burner. Happy Holidays :)

i downloaded the JB for 4g 5.0.1 but it freezes at the picture of the ram box i did it 3 times can someone help me i was so happy the untethered version finally got released but now it wont work on the instalation Helpppppp

@ MARY....honey i also had that problem here is what you do... use firefox only to download ur JB and it should work... dont know why but it works only whn u use firefox to down load redsnow and then firmware 5.0.2

LEEROY thanks after 5 trys it works now also when anyone goes to twitter to download it you may have a 20 min wait cus its over loaded just wait it will start

I have thought that he's already finished the untether jailbreak for 5.0.1 for iPhone 4 n 3GS. Why don't he post that one up since he already finished. Now he return to said he would do A5. Just post untether first . I think he just make up excuses. Also the other jailbreak is tether.

finally ....I got the JB untethered for my 4g 5.0.1 It took me 10 minutes and its now jail broken and unlocked thak ypu devision team. I knew the moment you got it away from pod2g YOU WOULD RELEASE IT . ICLARIFIED DOES NOT HAVE IT YET CUS THEY ATE 2 DAYS BEHIND IN EVERYTHING SO GUYS GET IT FROM DIVISION TEAMS TWITTER

just press shift and the button in itunes then pick just make sure u downloaded the 4g untethered version it came out 1 hour ago dont load up the tethered one

Again, the problem with these updates, is once again it's another update. I think I can speak for everyone when I say although we appreciate all the hard work the hacker scene does in order to produce these jailbreaks. I think we'd rather see a post with a download link for an actual iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak. In my most humble opinion, iPhone 4 and non A4 chipset devices ALREADY have a jailbreak whether tethered or not, bottom line is that there's a jailbreak for them. iPhone 4S and iPad 2s do not have anything.....I think this is where all the hostility comes from with people. Why focus on a FULL jailbreak for an older device when there's nothing for new ones? My 2 cents

when you download the new JB make sure u download ultrasnow 125 took me less then 3 min and im sending this post on my jail broken iphone works grea but waited 3 months for it and read 5 releases that really pissed me but finally div team got it and in less then 12 hours they released it

Yes thank you POD2 for working on this... Please work on IPHONE4S and release them all together... I could careless about the IPhone4 I already have a jailbreak on 4.3.3 it works just fine.. Im eager to see A5 jailbreak...
