Windows Phone is Slowly Gaining Market Share [Chart]

Windows Phone is slowly gaining market share; however, it's Android that is really surging, according to data released today by Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.

In the U.S., Windows Phone is up 1.4% year-over-year to 4.1% of the market as of February 2013. Android is up 5.8% to 51.2% of the market. Notably, iOS saw a decline of 3.5% to 43.5% and RIM saw a 2.9% drop to just 0.7% of the U.S. market.


Both Android and Windows Phone saw international gains. In Mexico, Android grew its market share by 29.9% at the expense of RIM and Symbian. Windows Phone is the most popular in Italy where it grew 7.7% to 13.1% of the market.
